Elizabeth Mariko Assalone has completed graduate coursework in Museum Anthropology at Columbia University and is currently writing her thesis on representations of mixed heritage histories in the museum. She holds a BA in Anthropology from the University at Albany, with a double minor in Psychology and Women’s Studies. Originally trained as an archaeologist, she has explored material culture and art through positions at the Museum of Sex in New York, the American Museum of Natural History, the Kalaupapa National Historic Park Museum, and the Museum of Television & Radio (now the Paley Center for Media).
